Biography - Jack S. Silver

Jack Silver is the Founder of SIAR Capital, an investment firm specializing in undervalued and emerging growth companies based in New York City. Siar Capital invests in public and private companies, as well as third-party alternative asset managers. Historically, Siar Capital’s investment focus has been on a concentrated portfolio of undervalued and emerging companies. Siar Capital works closely with management to foster economic value through the development of companies. More recently, Siar Capital has broadened its investment mandate to include opportunistic investments across asset classes including investments in business development companies, master limited partnerships, closed-end funds and private debt funds. Jack has served on the Board of numerous companies. Jack and his wife, Shirley founded JCC Manhattan’s Center for Special Needs and they are active in the community. Jack is an alumni of the University of Vermont.

Biography - Shirley M. Silver

Shirley is a skilled social entrepreneur who has used her intellect and passion to help others who face uphill challenges in their daily lives. She created and supports the Jack and Shirley Silver Center for Children with Special Needs at the JCC Manhattan as well as the Reel Abilities Film Festival at the JCC Manhattan. For many years prior to that, she served as a chair to the Young Women’s Division of the UJA-Federation (currently named the Manhattan Division). She began her career teaching after graduating from Brooklyn College.
